The "Nasty Dogs" are a Blues–Rock band from Aurich and the surrounding area which was formed in 2003. The four band members come from different walks of life but all have one thing in common: their love for contemporary Texas–Rock and Blues. Having lived in East Frisia, northern Germany, for many years they are well known in the local music scene.

The musicians named their band after the well–known song by ZZ Top, which of course is part of their program. But the three–man band from Texas is not the only band who had an influence on the Nasty Dogs. Next to a variety of ZZ Top songs they also play songs by Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughn or Robben Ford. Rocky titles by artists such as Paul Gilbert, Kiss, ACDC or 38 Special spice up the show of the Nasty Dogs.

All four members of the band have gained lots of experience by playing in different musical formations and different styles of music. They are masters of their instruments who possess the routine needed to perform the songs with heart and soul.

The Nasty Dogs play the music they love and it shows when they play live. "Southern–Rock and Blues is right up our alley" says the founder of the band Thomas Ukena "I'm happy that I was able to realize this long-held wish together with the guys".

The audience is in for a night of powerfully played Blues and Rock where the unexpected is definitely to be expected.
